OnDemand Specialty Systems
When your application demands a little more specialization, look to Inuktun’s On Demand product line. Whether it’s extra distance, custom sensor integration, or any aspect of remote inspection or tooling, these advanced systems get you where you need to go, with the tools to do what you need to do. And, just like our On Site standard products, On Demand crawlers are built on our Multi-Mission Modular (IM3) technology – so adapting to almost any environment is simple and efficient.
Long Distance Pipe Inspection
Erosion, corrosion and mechanical damage aren’t limited to the length of your inspection capability. And if access points or manholes aren’t available at regular intervals, what do you do? Enter Inuktun‘s lineup of long range pipe inspection vehicles. Revolutionizing remote inspection with the capability to travel one kilometre (0.6 mile) or more, these robust workhorses are the ideal solution for data collection over long distances that require unmanned entry into confined, hazardous or underwater environments. Inuktun‘s Versatrax™ crawlers are your reliable inspection solution for going the distance.
Versatrax 150™ Mark II
Expanding on the original Versatrax 150™, the Mark II is available with up to 1,000m/3,300ft of copper tether cable and can operate in pipes as small as 150mm/6in in diameter. The Versatrax 150™ Mark II can carry sonar, retrieval tools, laser profilers and NDT sensors; with the remotely operated camera/sensor raise motor, the system offers highly detailed inspections of even the most challenging pipelines.
The Versatrax 300™ is the solution to long range pipe inspection challenges. Able to inspect more than 2km/1.3mi of pipe in a single run, the Versatrax 300™ includes mulitple onboard video cameras, multiple sensor options and is operable in pipe as small as 300mm/12in internal diameter.
Vertical Pipe Inspection
When it comes to working flexible risers, caissons, air and seawater intakes, hydroelectric penstocks or fish bypass lines, most pipe inspection crawlers come to a standstill when vertical travel is required. Inuktun’s solution to difficult inspections over a range of pipe sizes in virtually any orientation – the Versatrax™ Vertical Crawler line. Offering two options for different pipe requirements, these Vertical Crawlers travel effortlessly from horizontal to vertical pipe providing clear video images for reliable asset integrity management.
VT100 Vertical Crawler™
Combining the power of three Microtracs™ and an expandable tripod chassis, the unique VT100 Vertical Crawler™ can easily navigate multiple bends and vertical pipe segments. Constructed out of marine grade aluminum and stainless steel, the VT100 Vertical Crawler™ is extremely durable and fully submersible for underwater applications.
VT150 Vertical Crawler™
The VT150 Vertical Crawler™ is a unique inspection vehicle based on the successful VT100 Vertical Crawler™. It uses three Minitracs™ and an expandable tripod chassis, allowing it to perform difficult inspections over a range of pipe sizes in virtually any orientation.
Foreign Object Search and Retrieval
Sometimes you need a hand. Offering both standalone manipulators for client integration, and a complete crawler system featuring a four-function manipulator arm, Inuktun’s got you covered for remote search and retrieval operations. It’s not uncommon for tools, fasteners or other items to be accidentally dropped in a pipe, tank or vessel. Our IM3 technology reduces human and environmental risk by performing detailed evaluation and remote handling in otherwise inaccessible spaces.
Designed specifically for hazardous environments, the Versatrax 450™ is perfectly suited for a wide range of applications where remote handling and inspection are required. This compact system can be deployed in a matter of minutes, allowing you to inspect, capture, and safely remove dangerous materials from any site faster than by conventional means.
Ferrous Metal Surface Inspection
NDT specialists are specifically trained to understand both the value and methodologies for thickness measurement, flaw evaluation, weld integrity assessment and corrosion inspection on metal surface structures like liquid storage tanks, pipes, pressure vessels and ship hulls. Recognizing secondary requirements for regular cleaning and maintenance of capital assets and infrastructure is equally important. Inuktun has expanded the abilities of its proven magnetic crawlers to incorporate powerful cleaning and inspection capability in one convenient package. Remote visual, sensing and cleaning operations with Inuktun‘s single solution provides time and cost savings — more assets saved.
MicroMag™ Mark II
Based on the proven MicroMag™ vehicle, the MicroMag™ Mark II employs four Microtracs™ and is fitted with a brush system designed to handle remote cleaning and anti-fouling of ship hulls and other structures. And, this larger platform is capable of supporting an array of simultaneous tools and inspection equipment.
